The Benefits
As a member you can reserve rooms and suites at the hotel that are very nice and cost much less than area hotels. Some of the suites sleep up to 8 people. Perfect for when the in-laws visit!
What is really cool is that the club has reciprocal arrangements with other clubs worldwide, such as the Harvard Club of Boston, the New York Athletic Club (as well as the local NY Princeton, Yale and Williams clubs), and of course the Army Navy Club in DC. You can arrange to stay at these clubs when traveling for business or pleasure by simply providing an introduction letter from the Marine Club when you make your reservations. A full list of US and international reciprocal clubs is at http://www.marineclub.com/reciprocal/reciprocal_main.asp.
Finally, the club hosts and sponsors events, conventions and talks such as the World Affairs Council. Events calendar is at http://www.marineclub.com//Events/EventCatalog.asp.
The Cost (free!)
The best thing is that if you have and Active Duty or Reserve ID card, your membership is free if you apply in person at the club hotel desk.
- You can also apply by online + mail but you'll have to pay $35. Apply at https://www.marineclub.com/membership_application.asp.
- Retirees and veterans pay $100 per year.
